House: Open daily until 2 November 2024. 
Gardens: Open daily excluding 25 December 2024.
Dates and times subject to change.

House
Open daily 10am - 3pm (last entry at 3pm)

Gardens and Grounds
Members-only: 9am - 10am
Gardens and Skelf Island Adventure Playground: 10am - 5pm (last entry at 4pm)

Food and drink
Coffee Shop: 9am - 5pm
Courtyard Café: 9:30am - 5pm (last food orders are 4pm)
Boathouse Café: 10am - 3.30pm (Mon - Fri), 10am - 4.30pm (weekends, bank holidays and school holidays)
Fitzroy Café: 10am - 4pm

Shopping
Farm Shop: 10am - 5pm
House Gift Shop: 10am - 4pm
Garden Centre: 10am - 5pm

Important information
Our onsite outlets operate on a cashless basis.

20th and 21st July
The House and Grounds will be closed on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July.
The Courtyard Café, Farm Shop and Garden Centre will be open as usual.

Coffee Shop renovation
Please note the Coffee Shop will be closed for renovation on the 20th, 21st and 22nd July. It will reopen on 23rd July.

Tony Cragg Sculptures
Some of the Tony Cragg sculptures will move for a private event on the following dates:

Masks and Industrial Nature will move on Friday 19th July and return to their usual positions on Monday 22nd July.

Sculptures in the Great Hall, Garden Hall and Octagon will also be moved on Friday 19th July. Garden Hall and Octagon sculptures will return on Monday 22nd July and sculptures in the Great Hall will return on Thursday 25th July.

Group Visits

Group discounts available for bookings of 20 or more people, please visit our Group Visits page.

Affiliate Schemes

  • Max Card holders are entitled to free entry for one adult and up to three children.
  • Yorkshire's Great Houses, Castles & Gardens pass holders are entitled to free entry for two adults and up to three children.
  • Art Pass holders are entitled to a 50% discount on inclusive House and Grounds admission.
  • Visit York VIP and York Pass holders can redeem admission on arrival.
  • Stay Play Explore vouchers can be redeemed on arrival.
  • Guests at our Holiday Cottages are entitled to a free visit during their stay.
  • Guests at our Lakeside Holiday Park get 2 for 1 admission to the Grounds and Skelf Island Adventure Playground.

Admission for all of our affiliate schemes can be redeemed on the day at the Ticket Office by presenting a valid membership card or proof of entitlement.
